Issue Description : Users exporting lists within SharePoint Online to .csv files may have some field data formatting unexpectedly changed.

More info : Affected fields within the exported files include, but may not be limited to:

Date formats changed on export to csv
People column no longer displays the name but the email
True false column also changed the output (per locale)

Final Update : 01/09/2023 08:50:00 AM – Deployment of the fix is complete, and Microsoft’s testing confirms that impact is remediated.

Scope of impact : This issue may affect any user exporting lists from SharePoint Online to .csv files.

Root cause : A recent service update intended to improve system performance included a code error, resulting in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their SharePoint Online code update procedures pertaining to .csv file data formatting to prevent similar impact in future updates.
