Issue Description : Users are unable to utilize the horizontal scrollbar on webparts in modern pages within the SharePoint Online

More info : Specifically, users may have been unable to utilize the horizontal scrollbar on webparts in modern pages within the SharePoint Online service.

Impact was specific to the Edge browser version 114. While we focused on remediation, affected users may have been able to use version 113 to circumvent the issue. Alternatively, the workaround for Edge 114 during impact was to close all msedge.exe instances on affected machines, and run Edge with the ‘—enable features=CompositeScrollAfterPaint,ScrollUnification” argument.

Final Update : 06/07/2023 12:28:00 PM – Microsoft have successfully reverted the offending change and confirmed via monitoring that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to users who are using Edge 114.

Root cause : A recent version update to Edge, inadvertently contains a regression, causing impact to occur.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their Edge update procedures to better identify similar issues during the development and testing cycles.
