Issue Description : Users are unable to access SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.

More info : Users may have seen a certificate error when attempting to access SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. Users may also have been unable to access or present files within Microsoft Teams.

Final Update : 25/07/2023 09:30:00 AM – Microsoft have identified that a configuration issue within a recent certificate update resulted in users receiving errors when attempting to access the service. Their monitoring automatically detected the issue and took immediate action to mitigate impact. After extended monitoring, they’ve determined that no additional actions are required and that the issue is now resolved.

Scope of impact : Any user may have experienced impact if attempting to access the service during the impact timeframe.

Root cause : A configuration issue within a recent certificate update resulted in users receiving errors when attempting to access the service.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their certificate update processes to prevent similar problems from happening again. They’re also reviewing how the misconfiguration was included in the certificate update.
