Issue Status : RESOLVED

Issue Description : Users are receiving a warning in the Chrome browser that SharePoint Online sites are potentially malicious.

More info : As a workaround, affected users may be able to use an alternate browser to access SharePoint Online sites. Additionally, users can leverage Microsoft Edge while we continue to address this issue.

Final Update : 29/06/2023 08:45:00 AM – Google confirmed that they took action to resolve the issue, and Microsoft have validated with previously affected customers that the issue is now resolved.

Scope of impact : Based on Microsoft’s investigation, a subset of tenant users attempting to access SharePoint Online sites through a link may receive a warning message indicating that the content is deceptive or otherwise malicious.

Next steps : Microsoft will continue to work with their third-party partner to avoid similar impact in the future.
