Issue Description : Users may be unable to connect to published datasets within Microsoft Power BI.
More info : This affects the June 2023 release of Power BI desktop; however, the May 2023 release isn’t affected and can be downloaded using the links below:
Final Update : 05/07/2023 13:55:00 PM – Microsoft have completed deploying the fix and confirmed after a period of monitoring that impact is no longer occurring.
Scope of impact : Impact is specific to any user hosted through the affected infrastructure attempting to connect to published datasets using the June 2023 release of Power BI desktop.
Root cause : A recent new version of the Power BI desktop is experiencing connection issues to published datasets due to containing an unsupported configuration for certain affected environments.
Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing our Power BI desktop version update procedures to prevent similar impact from happening again.
