Issue Status : RESOLVED

Issue Description : Users refreshing data were experiencing intermittent refresh failures using SharePoint within Microsoft Power BI.

Final Update : 29/05/2023 08:59:00 AM – Microsoft determined that a recent upgrade of SharePoint Online service traffic control systems contained a code conflict, resulting in impact. They have reverted the upgrade and confirmed through service telemetry that impact is remediated.

Scope of impact : Your organization was affected by this event and the problem impacted some users performing a data refresh using SharePoint Online within Microsoft Power BI.

Root cause : A recent upgrade of SharePoint Online service traffic control systems contained a code conflict, resulting in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are continuing the review of the impacting upgrade to better understand how impact began, which will allow them to prevent similar impact in the future.
