Issue Description : Users may be experiencing failures when attempting to use Mobile Device Management enrollment features.

More Information : For iOS devices that have already been affected, users may need restart the enrollment process from the beginning. For personal devices, this would mean restarting the enrollment process in ”Company Portal”. For admins attempting to enroll a new device into Apple”s Device Enrollment Program, this would mean resetting the device and restarting the enrollment process using one of two following options:

Option 2: Restore iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201252

Final Update : 15/05/2023 11:57:00 AM –  Microsoft identified that an authentication component misconfiguration within the infrastructure, responsible for facilitating Mobile Device Management enrollment features, was resulting in impact. They have reverted the offending configuration and restarted the affected infrastructure, which after a period of monitoring has remediated impact. However, users still facing failures may need to follow the instructions in the ”More Info” section of this event to experience full relief.

Scope of impact : Any users serviced by the affected infrastructure who are attempting to utilize the Mobile Device Management feature may be impacted.

Root Cause : An authentication component within the affected infrastructure was resulting in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their network authentication component configuration procedures to find ways to prevent this problem from happening again.
