Issue Description : Some users may experience delays when attempting to open images within the Microsoft Teams service.

More Information : Approximately five percent of attempts to open images are experiencing delays.

Final Update : 09/03/2023 13:50:00 PM – Microsoft have completed redirecting user traffic to alternate infrastructure, which has remediated impact.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure in Western Europe.

Root cause: An unexpected spike in user traffic resulted in a section of infrastructure, that facilitates access to images, to perform below acceptable performance thresholds.

Next steps: Microsoft are analyzing performance data and trends on the affected infrastructure to help prevent this problem from happening again.
