Issue Description : Users and admins were unable to access Microsoft 365 services through Office.com.
More Information : Users and admins were unable to access Microsoft 365 web applications through Office.com apps and tiles; however, navigating directly to the application would have been successful.Users may have also experienced issues with navigational menus within Microsoft 365 apps, such as SharePoint Online and Microsoft Planner.
Final Update: 09/03/2023 09:13:00 AM – Microsoft have identified and reverted a recent service update that prevented users and admins from accessing Microsoft 365 services through Office.com apps and tiles, resulting in blank user interface or error messages; however, users and admins could successfully access Microsoft 365 web clients via direct navigation. Subsequent monitoring following this action confirms that Office.com application access has been restored.
Scope of impact : Any user or admin attempting to access Microsoft 365 services through Office.com could have been impacted by this event.
Root cause : A recent service update contained a conflicting software issue which caused the Office.com app and tile functionality to become unavailable to users.
Next steps : Microsoft are working to identify the source of the code issue within the offending update to prevent future occurrences of this impact.
