Issue Description : Users may be unable to manage meeting times in Outlook on the web if they’re using a Japanese input keyboard.

More Information : Impact is specific to users utilizing Japanese input keyboards. As a workaround, users may be able to reopen the schedule registration screen to bypass the issue.

Final Update : 10/04/2023 08:40:00 AM –  Microsoft have confirmed that their fix to address the underlying code issue has fully saturated the affected environments and they’ve verified via telemetry that the impact has been remediated. Users still experiencing impact may need to empty the browser cache and reload Outlook on the web to allow the fix to take effect.

Scope of impact : The problem may impact any user leveraging a Japanese input keyboard that’s attempting to manage meeting times in Outlook on the web.

Root cause : A recent feature change, intended to fix another unrelated issue, introduced code regression that’s preventing users from managing meeting times in Outlook on the web if they’re using a Japanese input keyboard.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their feature change procedures so they can better identify similar code issues during their testing and development cycles and avoid comparable impact in the future.
