Issue Description : Some users may be unable to create webinars using Microsoft Teams.

More Information : Users may have seen the following error message when creating webinars: “Something went wrong, and we need to try again.”

Final Update : 08/02/2023 08:40:00 AM – Microsoft’s investigation determined that a recent deployment that was present in a portion of infrastructure that facilitates webinar creation was encountering a problem with a specific authentication component, which resulted in impact. They have rolled back the deployment from the affected infrastructure and confirmed with internal telemetry that the service is restored.

Scope of impact : This issue may have affected some users trying to create webinars using Microsoft Teams.

Root cause : A recent deployment that was present in a portion of infrastructure that facilitates webinar creation was encountering a problem with a specific authentication component which resulted in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are further reviewing the portion of infrastructure in which the authentication component issue took place, so that they can help prevent similar problems from reoccurring.
