Issue Description : Users with Microsoft IRM enabled libraries may be unable to open PDF files in Microsoft Edge.
More Information : Users with Microsoft IRM enabled libraries may have been unable to open PDF files within the Microsoft Edge. Specifically, users on Microsoft Edge version 109.x were impacted.
Final Update : 20/01/2023 09:25:00 AM– After further review, Microsoft determined that there was a bug in a recent Microsoft Edge version deployment. They developed a build with a fix and deployed it to the affected environment to remediate the impact.
Scope of impact : This issue may have impacted any user with a Microsoft Information Rights Management (IRM) enabled library.
Root Cause : A bug in a recent Microsoft Edge version deployment caused issues with Microsoft IRM enabled libraries.
Next steps : Microsoft is analyzing their Microsoft Edge version build version deployment processes to better catch similar issues prior to their deployment.
