Final Update : 10/01/2023 08:45:00 AM– Microsoft’s fix has completed deployment to the remaining affected users, and their service telemetry has confirmed that the option to schedule webinars is restored for the affected users and impact is remediated.
Root cause : A service update to implement a new Microsoft Teams calendar feature introduced a webinar option rendering issue in the desktop client, preventing some users from scheduling webinars through the desktop client.
Next steps : Microsoft is reviewing their Microsoft Teams service update procedures pertaining to the authentication pathway leveraged by webinar functionality to prevent similar impact in future updates.
