Issue Description : Users receive an error preventing sign-in using One Time Password for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

More info : When attempting to sign in using MFA, users receive an error which states “You have not entered the verification code for this username. Try again.”

This issue could impact sign to any Microsoft 365 service requiring MFA.

Scope of impact : Your organization is affected by this event, and all users leveraging One Time Password for MFA to access Microsoft 365 services are affected.

Final Update : 26/12/2022 08:50:00 AM – Microsoft has completed their reversion to the previous service configuration and confirmed with affected users that impact was successfully remediated.
