Issue Description : Users may have been unable to access various Microsoft 365 apps or services.

More info : Based on initial reports, users may have been unable to access the following apps (not limited to the ones listed):

  • Microsoft Teams
  • Outlook
  • OneDrive for Business

Scope of Impact : This issue may have affected various Microsoft 365 apps or services.

Final Update : 03/11/2022 07:35:00 AM – Microsoft has confirmed via extended monitoring and external reports that the issue has been successfully mitigated.

Root Cause : A subset of our networking devices inadvertently began taking unexpected service traffic and caused impact to various Microsoft 365 service access.

Next steps : Microsoft is reviewing their networking diagnostic data to understand the underlying cause of the issue and how they can prevent similar events in the future.
