Issue Status : RESOLVED

Issue Description : Users were seeing greyed out or missing buttons in the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal.

Specifically, under “Email and Collaboration, and Review” users see the following buttons greyed out or missing:

– Deny

– Approve release

Scope of impact : : Your organization was affected by this event, users accessing the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal will be impacted.

Final Update : 22/11/2022 09:30:00 AM – Microsoft has received confirmation from some reporting users and through monitoring the affected environment, that impact has now been remediated.

Root cause : A recent service update contained an outdated API which was resulting in users seeing greyed out or missing buttons in the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal.

Next steps : Microsoft is further investigating the recent service update to understand why the outdated API was introduced, and to prevent similar issues from occurring in future updates.
