Issue Description : Users may have been intermittently unable to sign in, post messages, or receive messages in the Yammer feed.

More info : Affected users may have seen generic 503 errors when attempting to sign in, post messages, or receive messages in the Yammer feed, such as: “Error 503: The service is not available.”

Scope of impact : Any user signing in, posting messages, or receiving messages in the Yammer feed may have been intermittently affected.

Final Update : 04/10/2022 08:37:00 AM – Upon further review, Microsoft have determined that automatic scaling of a portion of Yammer infrastructure experienced availability issues. The reconfiguration process to optimize the affected portion of infrastructure is complete. They have reviewed their service telemetry to ensure the resource availability issues are resolved and the impact won’t occur again.

Next steps : To help prevent similar impact in the future, Microsoft are further reviewing why the automatic scaling affected users and how they can improve their validation procedures to catch such issues before fixes are applied.
