Please be aware, yesterday evening we identified a glitch in the NHSmail Portal which is causing an issue when a user attempts to reset their password or create a new account via the NHSmail Portal. This issue manifests itself in the form of a password complexity rejection message once a new password has been produced and can also result in a newly created account remaining in the ‘pending migration’ status for a period before being disabled.
To rectify this issue and remove the end user impact it is having, we have decided to revert the NHSmail Password Policy back to the previous state pre the Coombes Portal Release with immediate effect. We strongly recommend that you re-familiarise yourself with the NHSmail Password Policy page on the Support Site where the relevant password complexity rules have been set out.
