Issue Description : Some users may be removed from meetings after attempting to share their screen in Microsoft Teams meetings

More info : Impact is specific to users who are leveraging specific third-party Virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) and occurs for the Microsoft Teams desktop client alone.

Scope of impact :Your organization is affected by this event, and any user leveraging specific third-party VDIs while attempting to share their screen in the Microsoft Teams desktop client may experience impact.

Final Update : 29/07/2022 14:29:00 PM – Microsoft confirmed that the fix to the rest of the affected infrastructure has remediated impact in full.

Root cause : A recent fix addressing an unrelated issue introduced a code regression, which in turn caused users leveraging a specific third-party VDI and attempting to share their screen in the Microsoft Teams desktop client to be removed from meetings after sharing attempts.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their update procedures to better identify similar issues during their development and testing cycles.
