Issue Description : Users may be unable to use up and down arrow buttons to navigate email messages because those buttons aren’t visible.

More info : As an alternative navigation method, affected users can unhide the reading pane and use the reading pane to navigate email messages.

Scope of impact : This issue affects some users attempting to use the arrow buttons to navigate email messages in Outlook on the web.

Final Update : 12/07/2022 12:03:00 PM – The fix has finished saturating throughout the affected environment, and Microsoft have confirmed via test accounts that the arrows are visible in the Outlook on the web ribbon.

Root cause : A recent service update inadvertently contains a code regression, which is resulting in the up and down arrow buttons not being visible in the Outlook on the web ribbon.

Next steps : To help prevent similar impact in the future, Microsoft are further reviewing the underlying cause of the code regression and how they can improve the validation procedures to catch such issues before deployment.
