Scope of impact : This issue may have potentially affected any of your users attempting to send chat messages between Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.

Final Update : 13/06/2022 08:32:00 AM – Microsoft investigated reports of an issue where users may have been unable to send or receive chat messages between Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business, and found that a recent change to service authentication components contained a misconfiguration, resulting in impact. They have reverted the change and confirmed via service monitoring that impact is remediated.

Root cause : A recent change to authentication components contained a misconfiguration, resulting in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing the impacting change to understand how the misconfiguration wasn’t caught during testing and validation, which will allow them to prevent similar impact in the future.
