Issue Description : Users may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services.
More info : Users may experience impact to the following services but not limited to:
– Exchange Online.
– Microsoft Teams.
Scope of impact : Impact was specific to some users who were served through the affected infrastructure located in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Users located in South Africa may have been predominantly affected.
Final Update : 07/06/2022 06:00:00 PM – Microsoft are determined that a network disruption in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region prevented Microsoft 365 infrastructure from processing traffic. They rerouted traffic through alternate networking components to resolve the issue, and they have confirmed via telemetry that this issue is remediated.
Root cause : A network disruption in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region prevented Microsoft 365 infrastructure from processing traffic and resulted in potential service impact to some users attempting to access Microsoft 365 services.
Next steps : Microsoft are analyzing the network disruption to better understand how impact began, which will allow us to prevent similar impact in the future.
