Issue Description : Users may have been unable to screen cast from Microsoft Teams for Windows or MacOS to Microsoft Teams room devices.
More info : The cast menu option will be temporarily removed from the Microsoft Teams desktop client for Windows and MacOS.
While we are working on resolving the issue, users may leverage these alternate solutions:
-Continue sharing via HDMI ingest on Microsoft Teams Rooms.
-Leverage the Meet function on Microsoft Teams and manually invite the room into the meeting.
Scope of Impact : Any user attempting to perform a Teams cast using Microsoft Teams for Windows or MacOS will be affected.
Final Update : 03/05/2022 03:33:00 PM – Microsoft have confirmed that the second phase of fix deployment has completed, allowing the fix to fully take effect in all affected environments. Microsoft have verified via telemetry that this has resolved the issue.
Root cause : A recent change to the Microsoft Teams meeting cast feature prevented users from casting to Microsoft Teams room devices.
