NHSmail Reference : INC27271729

Microsoft Reference : TM324405

Issue Status: RESTORED

Issue Description: Team owners can’t remove members from teams using the search feature in Microsoft Teams.

More info: Team owners can manually remove members by scrolling down to their name in the team member list and then removing them. Admins can also remove select members or owners via the Teams admin center, APIs, or through PowerShell commands, as outlined here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/teams/remove-teamuser?view=teams-ps

Scope of Impact : Impact is specific to team owners attempting to remove members from teams using the search feature in Microsoft Teams.

Final Update: 08/04/2022 09:24:00 AM – The majority of previously impacted users have received the fix deployment and can use the service as expected again. Microsoft will provide updates throughout the remainder of the deployment only to users with continued impact through a new communication.

Root cause : A recent update to service user interface components contained a code regression, resulting in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft will continue to investigate what led to the recent update that contained the code regression in order to ensure we avoid repeats of similar impact in the future.
