NHSmail Reference : INC27547473

Microsoft Reference : EX343065

Issue Status: RESTORED

Issue Description: Users’ with the United Kingdom holiday calendar in Outlook are missing a holiday and see inaccurate date for another.

More info: This issue specifically impacts the following two holidays:
-Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday (will not show on calendar but takes place on Friday, June 3, 2022)
-Spring Bank Holiday (Appears incorrectly as Monday, May 30, 2022. The correct date is Thursday, June 2, 2022.)

Scope of Impact : This issue affects any user that has added, or has by default, the United Kingdom holidays calendar in their Outlook calendar.

Final Update: 19/04/2022 07:36:00 AM – Microsoft’s fix has completed deployment via monthly enterprise channels and users can now access fixed calendars via the Outlook desktop client (Win32) and Outlook on the web.

Root cause : A recent change to United Kingdom holiday dates wasn’t picked by up our service, resulting in one missing and one incorrectly scheduled event.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their calendar dataset updates to better understand how the holiday date change wasn’t picked up and reflected in the service, which will allow them to prevent similar impact in the future.
