Issue Description: Users may have been intermittently unable to connect to the Exchange Online service via multiple connection methods.
Scope of Impact : Any user accessing the Exchange Online service via the Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web may have been intermittently affected.
Final Update: 25/03/2022 07:40:00 AM – After further review of the network logs, Microsoft identified a portion of infrastructure supporting access requests to Exchange Online that was performing below the expected service threshold. We rerouted connections to alternate infrastructure and monitored the environment to verify that service was restored.
Root cause: A portion of infrastructure supporting access requests to Exchange Online was performing below the expected threshold causing intermittent impact.
Next steps : Microsoft are analyzing the affected infrastructure to gain further insight into what triggered the initial impact which will help them in detecting and preventing similar issues in the future.
