NHSmail identifies and blocks login attempts that pose a risk to your account security. These cases meet specific risk criteria, for instance where there is evidence of “impossible travel” between distant locations in a limited period.
You can access the Login Events Report in the Portal to view your login attempt history. This is limited to the last 7 days. If you are a Local Administrator you can use the Report to view login attempts that have been blocked at your organisation in the last 7 days.
This technology reduces the potential for malicious access to user accounts and helps to keep the NHSmail service safe. If you have any questions related to login events please first contact local IT support at your organisation and if unresolved they will raise with the NHSmail Helpdesk
