NHSmail Network Planned Maintenance – minor disruption to NHSmail Internet services

There are two network changes planned for Saturday 13 and Saturday 20 June 2020 which may cause minor intermittent disruption to NHSmail Internet based services such as the Portal, email, Skype for Business and Office 365.

  1. The Cloud Access implementation in the first data centre on Saturday 13 June.

Internet traffic may be temporarily disrupted during the change between the hours of 9:00am and 10:00pm.

  1. The Cloud Access implementation in the second data centre on Saturday 20 June

Internet traffic may be temporarily disrupted during the change between the hours of 9:00am and 10:00pm.

There will not be an outage, however there may be momentary losses in connectivity of around 20 – 40 seconds during the change window. This may result in users experiencing slow response or a momentary screen freeze and if connections are dropped users may receive an error message and need to re-try their query or action.
