Issue description
The Accenture team are aware of an issue which relates to an intermittent error message being displayed at the point the account secret is saved within the Portal. A sample of the error message can be seen below.
Despite the error message presented, account secrets appear to be processed and added to the Portal database, contradicting the above error displayed.
In scenarios where this occurs, users may be assuming the account secret creation has been unsuccessful and are returning to the Portal to create another secret due to the backend process not completing. This is then causing multiple account secrets to be created which is then causing issues when the secret is used due to the system not knowing which account secret entry to use.
To minimise multiple account secrets from being created against an account, users should consider the following steps if the above error message is observed.
- Log out of the Portal and close the current browser session.
- Log back in to the Portal and check if the ‘Set-up Account Secret’ button is greyed out.
3.If the button is greyed out, the account secret has been added, and no further action is required. Where users still see the button available to be clicked, users should retry creating their account secret.
Please note that a daily backend process is in place to identify accounts with multiple account secrets. This process will ensure only the most recent secret remains active will all other secrets removed.
