Issue Description: Users’ Copilot chats created in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word may display as an untitled chat.

More info: Aside from being untitled, the impacted chats operate as expected.

Current Update: 28/07/2026 09:36:00AM – Microsoft suspect that a recently enabled conversation update process is overwriting some chat titles with an empty value. They are comparing successful and affected requests to determine what triggers the behavior and identify the appropriate fix.

Scope of impact: Some users leveraging Copilot chat through Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word may be impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.
