Issue Description: Mac users may have seen distorted content when sharing their full screen in Microsoft Teams meetings or recordings.

Final Update: 14/07/2026 09:37:00 AM – Microsoft has completed deploying a code fix, and they have validated with internal testing and monitoring that it successfully remediates the issue. If users are still experiencing impact, they may need to restart their Microsoft Teams client to receive the fix.

Scope of impact: This issue may have impacted Microsoft Teams for Mac users on client versions 26134.1610.4759.7759, 26149.1804.4788.5681, and 26163.407.4839.8659 when attempting to share their full screen in Microsoft Teams meetings.

Root cause: The Microsoft Teams for Mac presentation encoder was producing distortion issues when encoding some non-aligned resolutions, which resulted in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft is further reviewing the Microsoft Teams for Mac presentation encoder to identify what caused it to produce distortion issues when encoding some non-aligned resolutions, to gain a further understanding of the underlying root cause, and to prevent similar impact from reoccurring.
