Issue Description: Users’ Microsoft Fabric data warehouse queries to SQL endpoints for tables or paths containing special characters fail.

More info: Users may additionally experience delays in data loading and reporting activities.

While we work towards full remediation, users may rename tables or paths to remove special characters to resume data processing.

Current Update: 03/07/2026 08:32:00 AM– Microsoft has identified a recent coding change that’s responsible for the query failures. They are deploying a reversion of this change that they expect will fully remediate impact.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and users who run queries for tables or paths containing special characters to SQL endpoints are impacted.

Root cause: A recent code change which altered the way that requests are made to backend file path storage caused a mismatch, which resulted in query failures due to read errors.
