Service Announcement – Intune – iOS/iPad  minimum supported version policy changes and Central configuration profile update

Dear Local Administrator,

We are writing to inform you of upcoming policy changes aligned with the latest iOS and iPadOS operating system releases. As part of these updates, the minimum supported versions within Intune will be changing.

This update will impact all centrally managed Compliance and App Protection policies. The Intune team plans to implement these changes on 29th of June between 19:00 and 23:00 subject to final approvals

The following Compliance policies will be updated:

Restricted-Central-iOS/iPadOS-Compliance Policy (26.3.1)
Enhanced-Central-iOS/iPadOS-Compliance Policy (18.7.6)

Baseline-Central-iOS/iPadOS-Compliance Policy (17.7.1)

EMS-Central-Apple-Shared Device-Compliance Policy (17.7.1)

Global-Baseline-iOS-Compliance-Policy-R1 (17.7.1)

Global-Baseline-Shared-iOS-Compliance-Policy-R1 (17.7.1)

The following App Protection policies will be updated:

Restricted-Central-MAM-BYOD-Apple-Default Policy (26.3.1)

Enhanced-Central-MAM-BYOD-Apple-Default Policy (18.7.6)

Baseline-Central-MAM-BYOD-Apple-Default Policy (17.7.1)

Global-Baseline-APP-Managed-iOS/iPad-R1 (17.7.1)

Global-Baseline-APP-Managed-iOS/iPad-R4 (17.7.1)

Global-Baseline-APP-Unmanaged-iOS/iPad-R1(17.7.1)

Global-Baseline-APP-Unmanaged-iOS/iPad-R4 (17.7.1)

User Impact:

  • Devices enrolled in Intune that fall below the new minimum OS versions will become non‑compliant.
  • If your organisation enforces Conditional Access based on compliance, affected devices will lose access to NHS data.
  • If Conditional Access is not enforced, devices will simply display as “non‑”
  • Non‑managed devices below the minimum version will fail to enrol and display an error message.

We strongly recommend that all enrolled devices be updated to the latest available OS to ensure continued access and protection with the latest security patches. New devices should also be upgraded to meet the new minimum version before enrolment.
