NHSmail Intune-unable to install apps assigned through CP

Issue:
Some users are unable to install apps assigned to them through the Intune Company Portal.

Latest Update: Users may experience issues installing apps from the Intune Company Portal, where installations remain stuck in a “Download Pending” status.

A fix is currently being rolled out, which includes upgrading affected devices to Intune client version 1.101.109.0. However, users who attempted app installations on an affected IME version—and whose group memberships were changed before the fix was applied—may still face this issue. An additional fix is being developed to address this specific scenario.

Current Status: The fix deployment is progressing, although slower than initially expected. It has now reached most of the affected environment, and some users may already see improvements. The rollout is ongoing and is expected to be fully completed by the next scheduled update.

Impact: This issue affects a subset of users attempting to install user-targeted apps via the Intune Company Portal.

Root Cause: A recent service update introduced a regression that altered how a required configuration file was packaged. As a result, the file became unavailable, preventing app downloads from completing.
