Issue Description: Mac users can’t download the Microsoft Teams desktop client through the Join Launcher

Current Update: 10/02/2026 08:31:00 AM –Microsoft has isolated a recent Content Delivery Network (CDN) update to Microsoft Teams App download locations that has produced a Join Launcher error that prevented the downloading of the Microsoft Teams desktop client from the Join Launcher. After deploying a code fix, their internal service telemetry has verified that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: This issue may have prevented any Mac user from downloading the Teams desktop client through the Join Launcher.

Root cause: A Content Delivery Network (CDN) update to Microsoft Teams App download locations produced a Join Launcher error that prevented the downloading of the Microsoft Teams desktop client from the Join Launcher.

Next Steps: Microsoft are further analyzing the update to our CDN to help improve our pre-deployment testing and validation processes.
