Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may have intermittently been unable to activate Microsoft Entra ID roles in PIM.

Final Update: 23/12/2025 08:40:00 AM – Microsoft has completed reverting the build update and confirmed using their internal telemetry that impact is remediated. Their performance improvements to increase request processing rates may have also contributed to this remediation.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to activate Microsoft Entra ID roles in PIM may have been intermittently impacted.

Root cause: Resource constraints in the affected environment prevented user requests to activate Microsoft Entra ID roles in PIM from processing, resulting in impact.

Next Steps: Microsoft are reviewing their build update validation procedure to improve the detection and prevention of similar resource constraint issues in the future.
