Issue Description: Users may be intermittently unable to place calls using the dial pad from the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients.
More info: Specifically, affected users may be missing the dial pad option in the Microsoft Teams clients, and only a subset of the affected users may be unable to receive calls.
While they are working to remediate impact, they have received reports that admins can de-provision and re-provision the phone numbers for affected users to resolve the issue.
Affected users can restart their Microsoft Teams client to receive an expedited fix.

Current Update: 19/12/2025 09:12:00 AM – The reversion process is showing continued improvement and affected users will incrementally experience relief from impact as the change propagates throughout the affected environment. Additionally, they anticipate that the aforementioned process will be completed by their next scheduled update.
Scope of impact: Any user attempting to place calls using the dial pad using the Microsoft Teams desktop or web clients may be intermittently impacted, and a subset of users may be unable to receive calls. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.
Root cause: A recent service update intended to facilitate location services contains a code error, resulting in impact.
