Issue Description: Users can’t send email or calendar events to OneNote through the “Send to OneNote” add-in in any Outlook client.

More info: When users attempt to save an email or calendar event, they receive a message that states, “Error: Cannot save this item to a shared notebook due to sensitivity label restrictions. Please save it to personal notebook.”

Final Update: 09/10/2025 08:28:00 PM – Microsoft have completed monitoring service health telemetry and confirmed that impact was remediated.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to use the “Send to OneNote” feature to forward emails or calendar events to their OneNote notebooks may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent deployment introduced a code regression, resulting in impact.

Next Steps: Microsoft help prevent similar impact in the future, they are further reviewing their deployment release procedures to identify code regressions before being initiated.
