Issue Description: Users’ SharePoint Online pages may be failing to generate webparts thumbnails.

Current Update: 11/04/2025 09:27:00 AM – Microsoft’s have completed validating the previously mentioned fix for efficacy, and they are initiating deployment to the impacted service environment. they are forecasting that the fix will take until early May 2025 to complete, though they are aiming to confirm the timeline for full deployment and remediation in their next scheduled communications update.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to users, who are served through the affected infrastructure, expecting thumbnails generated for webparts in SharePoint Online pages.

Root cause: A feature deployment to improve SharePoint Online data management has produced an impacting code issue that’s preventing users” SharePoint Online pages from generating thumbnails of webparts.
