Issue Description: Users may have been unable to use the Walkie Talkie app within Microsoft Teams.

Current Update: 11/09/2024 10:01:00 AM – Microsoft have investigated further and identified that a recent standard service update to improve the overall performance of the service contained a coding issue, which resulted in users being unable to use the Walkie Talkie app within Microsoft Teams. They have reverted the offending update and confirmed through monitoring service telemetry that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: Impact was limited to users located in Europe and United Kingdom who were attempting to use the Walkie Talkie app within Microsoft Teams.

Root cause: A recent standard service update to improve the overall performance of the service contained a coding issue, which resulted in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their update procedures to better identify similar issues during our development and testing cycles.
