15/08/2024 09:35:00 AM

NHSmail Reference: INC45059644

Microsoft Reference: SP861751

Issue Status: ONGOING

Issue Description: Some users may be unable to edit some SharePoint Online classic site pages.

More info: Specifically, users may see the edit button greyed out or not visible at all. As a workaround, admins may be able to manually run the following script “Set-SPOSite -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0”, to re-enable custom script through PowerShell to mitigate impact.

Current Update: 13/09/2024 08:35:00 AM The multi-phase deployment of Microsoft’s previously mentioned fix is entering its final stages. They anticipate that the fix will be fully deployed by their next scheduled update, at which time they’ll monitor their service health telemetry to confirm that impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users, who are served through the affected infrastructure, attempting to edit some SharePoint Online classic site pages.

Root cause: A recent feature update, that enforces the disabling of customs scripts, has introduced a regression leading to custom scripts being unexpectedly disabled and causing users to lose the ability to edit some classic site pages.
