Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users are unable to use the application window sharing feature within Microsoft Teams meetings on AVD and Windows 365.

More info: Users are unable to utilise the “Share this window” feature for any application during a Microsoft Teams meeting. As a workaround, users may use the desktop sharing feature as an alternative method.

Final Update: 02/08/2024 15:51:00 PM – Microsoft have completed their validations and confirmed that the issue is resolved.

Scope of impact: Impact was limited to users accessing Microsoft Teams via AVD and Windows 365 while utilizing WebRTC based optimization.

Root cause: A configuration issue prevented the Teams application window sharing feature from functioning as intended after a user attempted to initiate an application window sharing session on AVD or Windows 365.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing options to resolve this type of issue quicker.
