Issue Description: Users may be unable to access the new Microsoft Teams desktop client.
More info: While Microsoft are focused on remediation, users may still use the Microsoft Teams classic desktop client to retain access to service functionality. Additionally, clearing the cache or restarting the new Microsoft Teams desktop client will mitigate this issue.
Final Update: 14/03/2024 08:41:00 AM – Microsoft completed deployment of the fix throughout all affected environments, and they have verified with affected users that this action has successfully resolved the problem.
Scope of impact: This issue may impact a small subset of users that trying access the new Microsoft Teams desktop client.
Root cause: An incompatible cache value from a previous Microsoft Teams installation is copying to the new build version of Microsoft Teams, resulting in impact.
Next steps: Microsoft are investigating why an incompatible cache value from a previous Microsoft Teams installation was copying to the new build version of Microsoft Teams to help them develop measures to avoid similar impact in the future.
