Issue Description : Users’ file names are displayed incorrectly when attempting to share files from the OneDrive for Business sync app.

Final Update : 31/03/2023 09:05:00 AM – Microsoft have determined that the setting change contained a file name encoding issue, which resulted in the impact. They’ve finished disabling the setting and confirmed with some users that the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact : Users serviced by the affected infrastructure who are attempting to share files from the OneDrive for Business sync app may be impacted.

Next steps : To help prevent similar impact in the future, Microsoft are further reviewing why the setting change contained an encoding issue and how they can improve their validation procedures to catch such issues before changes are made.
