Issue Description : Some users are experiencing issues loading datasets using PaaS Embed over DirectQuery in Power BI.

More Information : Impact is specific to datasets using Platform as a Service (PaaS) Embed over DirectQuery and ExportTo File Representational State Transfer (REST) API over DirectQuery with PaaS Embed.

Final Update : 20/03/2023 10:15:00 AM – Microsoft have successfully reverted the offending change and confirmed that impact has been remediated after a period of monitoring.

Scope of impact : Your organization is affected by this event, and some users attempting to load various datasets within the Power BI service are impacted.

Root cause : A standard service update contains a code regression which is causing some users to be unable to load various datasets within Power BI.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing the standard service update procedures to understand why this issue occurred and prevent similar impact from reoccurring in the future.
