Issue Description : Users may intermittently see a black screen during Microsoft Teams meetings that include video.

More info : The issue only affects one user at a time during Microsoft Teams meetings. The affected user can restore their video by turning their camera off and then back on again; however, another user then becomes affected.

This issue appears on Microsoft Teams Meeting Room devices and the Windows and Mac desktop clients.

Scope of impact : Some users may be affected by this and may see a black screen during Microsoft Teams meetings.

Final Update : 02/02/2023 07:45:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed with their internal monitoring system that the deployment has completed in full and the issue is remediated.

Root cause : A change intended to improve video stream rendering for Microsoft Teams meetings introduced the logic error resulting in the miscalculation when rendering video streams.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their video stream rendering for Microsoft Teams meetings to prevent similar impact like this one from happening in the future.
