Issue Description: : Users’ Microsoft 365 Copilot Analyst and Researcher agents may open a new chat window instead of the agents.

More info: When users attempt to open Copilot Analyst or Researcher from the Microsoft 365 app store, it may open a new chat window instead of the agents. While we work on correcting this issue, users may be able to open the Analyst or Researcher agents from the Copilot agent store.

Current Update: 10/09/2026 10:03:00 AM – Microsoft has updated the More Info, Scope of impact, and Root cause sections as the impact may also occur within the Unified store accessed through Outlook. They have deployed a permanent fix for the Microsoft 365 app store, and their internal testing has confirmed the impact is no longer occurring in this scenario. They are developing a fix for the Unified store accessed through Outlook, and they will aim to provide a timeline for these fixes to deploy by their next scheduled communications update.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to open Copilot Analyst or Researcher from the Microsoft 365 app store may be impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: The “Open” button for the Analyst or Researcher agents in the Microsoft 365 app store contains the incorrect URL redirection and is causing impact.
