Issue Description: : Users’ Microsoft 365 Copilot Analyst and Researcher agents may open a new chat window instead of the agents.

More info: When users attempt to open Copilot Analyst or Researcher from the Microsoft 365 app store, it may open a new chat window instead of the agents. While we work on correcting this issue, users may be able to open the Analyst or Researcher agents from the Copilot agent store.

Current Update: 13/08/2026 09:00:00 AM – Microsoft has developed and validated the fix to correct the URL redirection and have initiated deployment to the affected environments. Based on their current estimates, they suspect that the deployment will take several weeks to complete, with completion expected by Monday, August 31, 2026. They are continuing to monitor the progress of the deployment and will provide progress updates as they become available.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to open Copilot Analyst or Researcher from the Microsoft 365 app store may be impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: The “Open” button for the Analyst or Researcher agents in the Microsoft 365 app store contains the incorrect URL redirection and is causing impact.
