Issue Description: Users intermittently can’t use external OneLake shortcuts to access Dataverse data from Databricks in Microsoft Fabric.

Final Update: 26/08/2026 02:06:00 PM – Microsoft has determined that a feature update intended to optimize service performance introduced a code compatibility issue. They have disabled the affected feature and confirmed that impact has been successfully remediated after monitoring service health.

Scope of impact: Your organisation was affected by this event, and users attempting to use OneLake external shortcuts to access Dataverse data from Databricks in Microsoft Fabric were intermittently impacted.

Root cause: A recent update to the Microsoft Fabric infrastructure, intended to optimise the service, introduced an incompatibly code issue, which caused impact to occur.
