Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may see a User Interface (UI) glitch in Microsoft Teams which shows an added bar at the top of each window.

More info: This specifically impacts users that are using webview2 version “144.0.3719.82” on Windows 10 devices.

Final Update: 28/01/2026 02:59:00 PM– Microsoft has confirmed that the updated WebView2 version has been released. While they previously advised that affected users might need to update their Microsoft Teams client, this is no longer required. If impact persists, users should verify that they are running the latest stable version of WebView2. Users on an older version will need to manually update WebView2 by following the instructions provided in the More info section of this communication.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users utilising the UI in Microsoft Teams.

Root cause: A code regression in the webview2 version 144.0.3719.82 is causing impact to occur.

Next steps: They are reviewing our WebView2 configuration to help prevent similar problems in the future.
